The orange on the outside edge is a nod to the building that was the catalyst for our formation.
The three green rings signify Green’s Harbour, the three denominations in the community, the Holy Trinity of the faith of our fathers and the Trinity Bay. We are Green’s Harbour in Trinity Bay. Where the circles overlap, it looks like three fish… the reason we came here.
The circles also signify the past, present and future, with the GHHS right in the centre where they intersect.
Founded in 2009, the Green’s Harbour Heritage Society was formed to save one of the few remaining heritage buildings in our community, with an eye to repurposing. While this was the catalyst that created us, our purpose is also to help everyone know a little more about our community…. its heritage, its people and its traditions.
